Keep your little loved one clean with these durable bibs. Each is made of oilcloth and measures 9 x 15, with Velcro closures.
A little about Oilcloth and why I use it. Original oilcloth was a cloth
treated with oil or other substances to make it waterproof. It was used
for fishermen's and sailor's wear, for coach robes and covers, and later as a
floor covering called floor cloth.
Later, it was made of heavy fabric such as canvas, jute, or burlap, sized
glue, and coated with several layers of thick oil paint. It was then machine
printed, dried, varnished, and rolled. Homemakers used it to make tablecloths,
drawer-liners and coverings for just about any surface that needed protection
and a bit of color.
Today's oilcloth is a fabric mesh coated with vinyl. It is easy to clean
with a warm, soapy sponge. Machine washing is not recommended.
